For the 2024–2025 academic year, Abertay University is offering master’s and PhD scholarships to international students. The winner of this scholarship will get a £3,000 grant. In January and April, the reward is paid out in equal amounts.

Deadlines for Abertay University Scholarships

Applications must be submitted by December 15th for entry into February (November 30th if a Tier 4 visa is required).

Applications must be submitted by April 30th for June entry (March 31st if a Tier 4 visa is required).

Applications for October admission must be submitted by August 31 (the deadline is July 31 if you require a Tier 4 visa).

Qualifications for Scholarships at Abertay University

The following requirements must be met by applicants for the Abertay University International Student Scholarships:

• English is one of the required languages. The University often requires proof of English ability at the higher level from applicants whose first language is not English.
• All nations across the world are eligible.
• have enrolled full-time in Abertay University to pursue your first postgraduate degree. Those who already possess a postgraduate degree from the UK are not eligible.
• have been categorised by Abertay University as having an international (overseas) fee status.
• have fulfilled all the prerequisites for admission as a full-time student in September 2024 or January 2025, as stated in your offer of admission.

• If you meet all the eligibility criteria and are awarded an Abertay International Scholarship you will be notified by us by email following your offer of study, by July 1. Should you apply after this date, you will be considered in the second round of scholarship awards, by August 24.
